Car Shipping Carriers is the nations leading car shipping company AND the leading motorcycle shipping service as well. We ship bikes across the country on open and enclosed haulers. There are many companies out there that do not like transporting motorcycles because they do not know how to price them well and because they are just not educated on motorcycles as they are about cars. We have shipped many bikes and we have come to learn from our customers about 4 bikes that are for advanced riders only.
The first bike is the 2004 and 2005 Kawasaki ZX10R. The reason this bike has made the list is because it was the class leader in horsepower, it was the lightest bike in the class AND had the shortest wheelbase as well for it’s class. Those three make for a deadly combination is not respected properly, even from a very experienced driver. The ride was insane from start to finish. The power from the bike always had the front tire off the ground and the brakes were smaller which meant the brake time was slower. Never a good combo.
The next bike on the list is a 1999 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. This should already be a no brainer with the 1300 right in it’s name. This bike could hit 195 mph stock, no mods involved. The bike is way too fast for a novice rider. Another factor that doesn’t help new riders it the fact that Hayabusa’s sit lower to the ground which causes the steering a bit more challenging. This is not a bike for the novice bike experience.
The third bike on the list is the 2005 and 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000. This is the last true super bike. It won tons of awards and carries a loyal fanfare that is still in love with these bikes even today. The problem was the steering on this bike was very sharp. A non-exeperienced driver would likely hurt themselves and other quickly with the sharp steering and unrelating acceleration. This is a bike for the moderate to experienced rider.
The last bike to make the list is the 2009 – current generation Ducati Streetfighter 1098. Ducati took the engine from their super bike and put it into the Streetfighters with very little change which has caused problems for drivers without experience. The bike carries 85 ft/lbs of torque which will throw a person back if they are not careful.
The fact of the matter is that bikes are fun, but a person needs to know which bike is good for them to start with and what is a good bike to stay away from for a few years until you become more experienced.
