My name is Nicholas Dutko and I am the owner of Car Shipping Carriers. My company is built to create quality car shipping services for customers who need to have their car transported from one state to another state. I built this company to be most self-sufficient and in a way that I could, at any moment, check out to see how everything is running and how the companies in my network was doing. Since the inception in October 2011 we have been going just fine.
One thing that I have not had experience in is raising a child. It is something that I am looking forward to, but have not been able to have the pleasure. I had a rougher childhood because my Dad was an alcoholic and wasn’t around much. His first priority was alcohol and the other was having some chick in bed for that night. At best my brother and I were a third priority. My mom was great though. She tried as much as she could to play the role of a mom and a dad. She worked hard to provide for us and did whatever she could. She taught me that you needed to work hard to get what you wanted.
I came across this article and video about a 14 year old who made is own motorbike. I saw it is on Yahoo Autos and it really made me think about certain aspects of my life and what I have had in my life and what I want in my future. This kid, Haven Jarel, fell in love with bikes at the young age of three. He had his first bike at the age of three when he made an agreement with his dad that when his regular bike was able to have his training wheels taken off his dad would buy him a motorbike. Needless to say, the next morning he told his dad that he was ready for the training wheels to come off. They came off and he rode and he was able to get the motorbike.
Haven Jarel wasn’t the typical kid. He didn’t watch much TV and didn’t play video games. He thought that it took up too much time where he could be using his imagination to create something that could change his life and make someone else smile. He was always thinking and always trying to do something more. I actually say that a lot about myself. I wanted to make myself better each and every day no matter if it is just going to the gym for an extra 15 minutes or doing something to better myself or my family.
Haven received an old bike for his 13th birthday. He tore it apart and visioned something special. He completely rebuilt the bike, welded metal, replaced broken parts, re-fabricated this “hunk of junk” into something amazing. He took this motorbike to Los Angeles’ “Deus Biker Build Off” where he won third place.
This kid is special and he is going places and it is all a different mindset that he had since birth and his dad is a big part of that. I can hope that I can give something like that to my children when I have them. To teach them that they can be anything they want to be, but they need to work hard at it and never give up. Be able to use their imagination and don’t hold back. Sometimes people will laugh or think it is a dumb idea, but some people don’t understand different. Looks at the great people who created things that was different such as Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Vince McMahon. These people had a vision and wasn’t going to let others tell them they were wrong.
My hat goes off to Haven Jarel. You are an inspiration to many. Keep up the awesome work and you will be one of the next bright minds of your generation. I can only wait to see what you do in the future.
