Fueloyal’s 10 Best Intermodal Trucking Companies In The USA

My name is Nicholas Dutko, owner of Car Shipping Carriers, and I wanted to explain a company called Fueloyal and why I appreciate them.

Fueloyal is a company in the trucking industry that offers GPS Tracking for truckers, Smart Fuel Caps that save truckers TONS of money and offers a free IFTA Tax Reporting Tool.  Not only do they have those products and services they are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to trucking, best trucking companies, etc..  These people really know their stuff.

Back in April 2017 that published an article naming the 10 Best Intermodal Trucking Companies In The USA.  The author, Jurica Moagoci, gave two answers to the question “what is intermodal trucking?” and nailed it.  Once these went into the short answer and long answer they created a list of the top 10 in the USA.  To my surprise, Car Shipping Carriers made the list.  Now, I can only thank them for saying I am in the top 10 in the United States.  I do try extremely hard to provide a great service to all of my customers with all of my businesses (Auto Transport Quote Services, Auto Transport Receipt & Car Shipping Carriers).

Here is the reason why I like to think I am different from my competition… my education.  I went to school and University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) and I have a degree in Entrepreneurship.  What this has allowed me to do is view businesses from different eyes.  Views the processes and business models and see where there can be changes, improvements, and where there are gaps in the marketplace.

My businesses have been published in various big named publications such as Huffington Post, Blog Herald, Fueloyal, etc..  I can only give thanks to those that have seen the work my businesses have done and that we do offer a great service.  I normally do not write a specific blog post about an article, but Fueloyal is different.  These people truly want to make the trucking industry better as a whole. I 100% respect that because I want the same thing.

Thank you Fueloyal and their staff for fighting the good fight for our industry.  Another thank you for me personally for honoring my business in your publication.

For those truckers out there, check out Fueloyal and get the Smart Fuel Cap.  It is worth saving you a few hundred dollars a month.  For you larger trucking owners, the GPS tracking helps tremendously and would be great for businesses with 2 or more trucks.

White paper Reveals How To Avoid Car Shipping Scams

The climate of automotive & shipping complaints

With a set of statistics released during National Consumer Protection Week earlier this month (March 9), the Better Business Bureau highlighted the 10 industries that received the most customer complaints throughout 2014. Three of the most problematic industries were automotive: new car dealers came in 4th, used car dealers were 6th, and auto repair landed in the 10th position.

Another sector within the automotive field that received extraordinarily critical coverage in 2014 was car shipping.

Specifically, the car shipping contractor selected by the Department of Defense for international vehicle shipping delivered cars late and was often unable to provide details on their whereabouts. At one point, the Tampa Bay Times reported that 70% of the vehicles being shipped by International Auto Logistics (headquartered in Brunswick, Georgia) would arrive late. The negligent actions of the company, which was responsible for shipping the personal cars of military service people and civilian personnel, eventually resulted in the development of a class-action lawsuit.

Beyond the troubles experienced by military servicemen and servicewomen, other reports from around the country show how vulnerable consumers are when selecting transporters. For instance, 40-year-old Adam Mayers of Port Charlotte, Florida, was charged with running a car shipping company as a front to steal a Ford F-350 and a Bentley GT. RipoffReport.com is filled with other examples, with 1520 total grievances filed under the “auto shipping companies” and “auto transporters” categories.

2015 Carrier Credibility Guide: 4 common credibility indicators

Consumers need auto transport tips and clarity on how to avoid car shipping scams. The whitepaper by Car Shipping Carriers, an auto transport broker based in Tampa, is intended to empower consumers to better understand the four primary credibility terms:

DOT-compliant / FMCSA-compliant – Carriers described in this way are compliant with the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. For instance, motor carrier regulations require that driving shifts last a maximum of 11 hours, with 10 hours of rest in between each shift.

Licensed – This means that the carrier is actually in possession of two licenses:

Each driver has a commercial driver license (CDL), permitting legal operation of a semitruck.
The carrier company is licensed with the Department of Transportation to ship cars or household goods.

Bonded – Although this distinction is an additional sign of legitimacy, it actually protects the relationship between carriers and the brokers that represent them to consumers. The surety bond allows a carrier to collect if they don’t receive money from a broker.

Insured – Carriers insure both their haulers and the automobiles they ship from any form of damage or destruction. Progressive and other household-name companies insure haulers with policies that typically range from $100,000 to $1 million of coverage.

How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Motorcycle?

Motorcycle shipping rates range, depending on the company and type of service you use. Also, of course, it will vary widely depending on your pickup and delivery locations – so giving a “standard price” is not reasonably possible. However, the below information will help you sort through your options and get a basic idea of the following:

  • how to find a reasonable rate
  • proper vetting of motorcycle transport companies
  • why enclosed shipping is typically chosen out of quotes to ship the motorcycle
  • how motorcycle shipment rates compare to those for cars and trucks
  • how volume discounts can reduce your rate.

How to Find a Reasonable & Vetted Bike Transport Rate

You want to be able to get quotes quickly and know that they’re from top providers. The cost to ship a motorcycle is cut down when you go through a broker who looks at potential services and finds the lowest-cost option on your behalf.

Regarding vetting, our process at Car Shipping Carriers – part of the reason for the 5-star rating CSC has on Transport Reviews – is detailed below. We believe an excellent broker always check credentials of any company it recommends:

  • Baseline Financial Protection: Is the company bonded and insured?
  • Top-Notch Customer Ratings: Does the company offering shipping rates for motorcycles have a 98%+ score on a major independent car shipping review site?
  • Up to Code: Is the firm on record as fully compliant with DOT/FMCSA regulations?

Why is Enclosed Motorcycle Shipping so Popular?

Open transport is not typically used for motorcycles, whether you are shipping to the United States or Canada, for the following reasons:

  1. a bike’s design makes open transport difficult
  2. protection from rain, snow, and sun makes coverage preferable
  3. open transport means a bike will take up a full side of the carrier, increasing the shipping cost for a motorcycle
  4. straps made of nylon must be used for safety and durability
  5. covers can’t be used with open shipping; if used, damage to the body of the bike can occur, due to friction on its corners.

Motorcycle Transport vs. Car Transport Rates

Your cost for motorcycle shipment, especially when shipping with coverage, will be lower for a motorcycle than for a car. Here are two basic ways of looking at that difference:

  1. Percentage Difference: Shipping bikes will typically cost carriers 20-25% less, in turn reducing motorcycle shipping costs by the same percentage.
  2. Dollar Difference: This amount is very non-specific: pricing is vague without the specific locations of the addresses, or doors, you’re shipping between. However, if a car ships at $800, a bike will ship the same distance at about $600-650.

Finally, keep in mind that volume discounts – more than one bike at one time – can reduce the cost of transport.

Your Own Customized Shipment

Since prices vary, let’s get to your personal cost of shipping a motorcycle. Here’s how and why we can help with the shipment:

Time To Add GM Into The Self-Driving Car Game; Electric Bike

2016 Chevrolet Volt Car Shipping Carriers has been reporting about the many companies that are testing self-driving cars.  Companies like Google, Tesla, Freightliner, etc. are all testing units to be self-driving.  Now it is time to add GM to the list of companies looking to produce a self-driving car.

GM has made some great progress since the bankruptcy in the late 2000’s and a self-driving car will push the envelop even farther for the company. Self-driving cars are not a matter of if, but a matter of when.  We are assuming that when the first ones are related they will not be cheap, however they will help keep our roads safer.

How is GM going to test its own self-driving cars?  Well, they will have their own employees test it out at their Warren Tech Center in Michigan.  They are claiming that next year employees will be able to call up a Chevy Volt to pick them up and drive them to a destination without anyone actually deriving the car.

Other news is that GM is looking to venture out into new businesses.  One business is the creation of an electric bicycle.  They are looking to use OsStar communications along with the bike.  They are trying to build the driving equivalent of cloud computing.    An electric bike does seem like it would be a big hit in major metropolitan areas like NYC, San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Many people who live downtown could hop on a bike to make short distance commutes.

Also, GM has been developing car-sharing demos across the globe and they will have one starting next year in New York City called “Let’s Ride NYC”.  This car sharing service costs $2,995 (the starting rate) and people within an apartment building will have access to the vehicle.  Gm has been using these car sharing demos as a way to test apps and technology.  It has not been a money maker, but it is helping GM find out what people like and doesn’t like when using the service.

The future is looking bright for the GM self-driving car coming soon, and its electric bike and car sharing services.

Is Mazda Going To Release Another RX-7? See Pic Here

There have been rumors going on for years that Mazda was going to be releasing another RX-7 that diehard fans have been wanting.  Car Shipping Carriers actually talked about it on our Google+ account before as well.  Diehard fans are looking for Mazda to breathe live back into the rotary engine.  Through the years fans have been disappointed when heading to auto shows because there was nothing to look forward to in their pursuit to the return of the RX-7. But, diehard fans might not have to wait much longer to get their wish granted.

Mazda released a press release with a very dark picture of a hard top sports car.  This is the closest thing to what a new RX-7 would look like.  Some have speculated that this could be a hard top Miata, but that is highly doubtful.  Other have speculated that this could be a completely new sports car with a new name and everything from Mazda.  That is also unlikely because the RX brings instant credibility and instant sales for Mazda which is what every auto maker needs.

The unveiling of this car is less than a month away.  It will be hellcat the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.  The Tokyo Motor Show starts on October 29th. so we will be holding our breathe until then for this to be unveiled and be a new RX-7.

Who else is excited about these Mazda RX7 specs and on the edge of their seats?
