Car Shipping Carriers has many articles talking about new technology and new unveilings of future car models. This one is like the others, but this vehicle is a bit odd. It is something that we have not been able get onto our transporters just yet, but we hope to see one sooner than later. We are talking about the EO Smart Connecting Car. It is a vehicle tat is odd looking compared to vehicles we see on the road currently, but has some cool tech that other vehicles would love to have. The first cool tech is that the vehicle actually “shrinks” itself from seven and a half feet down to just over 5 feet in length by the car being lifted upward and it kind of shrinks itself to fit into smaller spaces. What other car can even come close to saying that? This type of tech is needed in very metropolitan areas like New York, Tokyo, etc. where parking spaces are at a premium.
The other cool tech in this vehicle is that each wheel has its own hub motor. This means that each wheel can be driven independently if needed. Each wheel can literally do a 90 degree turn to its side and pull into a parking spot on the road. No more needing to learn how to parallel park. Just turn the wheels and slide right in with some ease.
This vehicle is also an electric vehicle. It takes only 4 hours to complete a full charge, which is pretty amazing. Once fully charged the vehicle can get 30 – 44 miles on a charge. It may not seem like much, but we are using this vehicle for city driving, not going across the country. When thinking of city driving the mileages makes perfect sense for most Americans.
The last cool tech is something that blows our minds. The vehicle can dock itself with other Connected Cars and form a car pool and drive completely autonomous for the remaining trip. Can you image driving your car to the highway and then meeting up with Paul and Sally from the office and connecting your vehicles together wirelessly and all getting to work at the same time without driving the vehicle the rest of the way. That is extreme forward thinking on the part of the EO Smart crew.
The future cools bright and it looks cool. The Jetson’s were on the right path when the cartoon was invented, but a little off on the timing.
