We have already heard about Android Car and Apple CarPlay getting into nearly every auto model in the next year. People have been buzzing about it for a little while now. The thought of having your smartphone so connected to your car is a pretty cool thing. You have your navigation, music, apps, and tons of other features now at your fingertips and steering wheel. No looking down at your phone, simply click a button to have Siri read you your text message and even respond to it via voice control. One thing has been left out of this conversation though, the Microsoft’s Cortana review.
Microsoft has just released Windows 10 to many rave reviews. We tested it and it was actually pretty nice. Car Shipping Carriers is a car shipping company that uses computers each and every day to do their job. Having a reliable operating system that is functional and clean is a must to keep its customers happy when transporting their cars to another state. The choice for CSC is Apple. That is mostly because Microsoft hasn’t had a good operating system in many years. Windows 10 is honestly really nice. They are stepping up their game, but now they need to keep their momentum going and putting Cortana, Microsoft’s answer to Siri, into the car is one of the next steps.
Microsoft has already completed a prototype where Cortana is the main function of the car experience. Certain would display itself on the windshield of the vehicle instead of the dash unit. This would help drivers still focus on the road ahead of them and still use the product. Microsoft already has been talking about having their product in the car, but never had a way of doing so until Cortana. Having such rave reviews of Windows 10, which features Cortana a lot is helpful for Microsoft to add Cortana to other channels like phone, tablets and car.
The Microsoft 10 Cortana is not ready to be in a car just yet. It is still only a prototype, but for Microsoft fans this means something is coming. Having a different approach might help Microsoft win the battle of the car audio systems. Using the windshield is pure genius on Microsofts part. More companies should start using the windshield more with the speed the vehicle is traveling, navigation and other features. Microsoft may have start a new wave.
