The industry of car shipping is one that changes constantly. Prices are always changing, new auto transportation companies coming into the industry, and Federal Regulations cause other changes. The Fall 2015 season is no different. The Fall season is officially September 21st – December 20th so we will cover this span of time in this article for you.
This year we have seen prices for nearly every route go down in price besides the snowbirds traveling from the northern states down to Florida. Coming out of one state in particular is very cheap and that state would be Florida. It happens each year that traveling from Florida back up north during this season is always less expensive, but it is very unusual to have other routes coming out of Florida to be cheap as well.
Car Shipping Carriers had a few customers that were transporting their car from Florida to the Houston, TX area. Normally during this season that would run a customer near $700+ depending on the actual vehicle, but during the Fall 2015 that route is much cheaper. It is anywhere between $550 & $600. That is a pretty decent savings; $100+.
For customers who are moving out of state in the near future may want to think about moving a vehicle sooner than later because prices will start to change again around December 1st. December is a month that is odd for the car shipping industry. There are many auto haulers who take time off for the holidays and many broker companies who have odd working hours around the holidays as well. When this starts to happens prices start going haywire allowing for a cheap car transport or a very expensive one. There are days when pricing becomes super cheap because truckers are trying to get back home in time for family and other times where it is extremely expensive because of the lack of haulers available to transport cars.
